FAQ
Getting started
What is Nox?
Nox is a planner for people with big goals. It links your goals, projects and tasks in one place, tracks the hours you put in, and shows your progress with focus sessions and analytics.
How is Nox organized?
Goals sit at the top and can have a measurable target. Projects move those goals forward, and tasks are the day-to-day work inside each project.
Can I try Nox before signing up?
Yes. Open the demo to explore a sample workspace without an account.
What is Lock In?
Lock In is a timed focus session on a single task. You can add or remove 15 minutes as you go, and pause when you need to.
Pricing and beta
Is Nox free?
Yes. The Free plan includes every feature, and AI uses your own API key. If you'd rather not bring a key, the Plus plan is $5 a month with $5 of AI credits included. Both are beta pricing.
What's included in the beta?
Every feature: planning, hour tracking, Lock In focus sessions, analytics and the AI assistant.
How do I sign up?
Create an account at app.usenox.app. It takes a minute.
AI features
Do I need an API key?
Only for the AI features. Everything else in Nox works without a key.
Which AI providers can I use?
OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral and OpenRouter.
Who pays for AI usage?
Your provider bills you directly for what you use with your own key. Nox doesn't charge for it.
Will the AI change my plan without asking?
No. The assistant proposes changes to your goals, projects and tasks, and nothing is applied until you accept it.
